Hello Tokyo
We made it to Tokyo, Japan! It’s been a whirlwind over the past few weeks, packing and saying goodbye to friends and family. Now that I am somewhat settled, I wanted to send out my inaugural blog post to family and friends. Join me on “Journey With Jill” as I hope to capture the essence of living in Tokyo and include highlights of adventures, challenges, food and travel tips first hand.
love this image from a ramen shop near Shinagawa Station. This image embodies the love of ramen of the local people with the traditional Japanese attire. Ramen has been a staple in Japan for years, now growing much popularity all over the world.
This is my first blog, you’ll hopefully see my skills grow with each posts of how to navigate my blog. My hope is to share my love of food, travel and exploring from new and past experiences to encourage you to travel and explore Tokyo and Japan. Japan is a truly beautiful and spectacular country and you don’t need to know Japanese to survive.
My two boys looking like locals on Omotesando Street, near Harajuku/ Shibuya with their sling bags. Everyone, mainly men carry bags as a necessity. To carry Train/ Subway passes, wallets, water, food etc.
